Launch of Hertfordshire Business Awards

Simon and I were delighted to attend the launch of the Herfordshire Business Awards at Beales Hotel in Hatfield.

As Runner Up in 2009  in the Best New Business category, and massive advocates of  supporting local businesses (we are really keen on the FSBs Keep Trade Local campaign), we were excited to hear about the event for 2010 and see how we can be involved.

Sarah Scott kicked off the evening with a fab presentation on this year's events - how much did we love this photo (sorry for the LOL moment Sarah).

Sarah's presentation was then followed by some outstanding presentations from  David Buxton, MD of MotivAction (last year's winner in the Best Business Website cateogy);  Dennis Turner from HSBC (even I understood UK economics after this !!) and June Cory, Google Adwords specialist from My Mustard (loved it).

It was also nice to see Debbie Gilbert from Viva Business Networking, who is just about to launch her new Bristol and Aylesbury Networking Groups (go, Debbie); David Busbridge from Tap Creative (whom I'd met on Twitter) and Chris Hall from the Beales Hotel (lovely  venue).
