About The Marketing Dinosaur

My name is Derek G Rogers. I am of course now retired and recently celebrated my Golden Wedding Anniversary. I have three daughters, a son and eight grandchildren. I spent most of my career in the national newspaper and magazine business in the sales and marketing areas, at Managerial and Director levels, with leading titles such as The Sun, The Mirror Group  and Woman’s Own to name but a few. Rupert Murdoch, Lord Cudlipp, Sir James Goldsmith – I met and worked for all of them at one time or another. ....
 
In my blog I will share with you my thoughts, opinions and ideas on how I see the modern marketing world, perhaps a few anecdotes from the past. I don’t expect you to always agree with me (indeed I am told I have always been controversial) – but I hope that you enjoy my blog posts.
